The Americans were in fine form tonight as the second leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals got underway. Five of the 11 qualified USA riders posted clear first rounds to move into a 21-horse jump-off, and Kent Farrington (USA) and Voyeur claimed the win. Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat rode Nino des Buissonnets to a swift round, just narrowly edging out Beezie Madden (USA) and Simon for second by 1/10th of a second. ...

Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer Speeds to Round I Victory With Quidam du Vivier
The crowd was on their feet Friday night at the Lyon Eurexpo as Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer rode to the first round victory. Schwizer and Quidam du Vivier were ablaze during the opening speed course, stopping the clock at 63.37 seconds. Hometown hero Patrice Delaveau just lost the top rank, falling shy of Schwizer’s time by a mere 3/10ths of a second to take the second place.
