Lexington, Ky. – May 21, 2022 – Hunter competition continued Saturday morning in the StoneLea ring welcoming the amateur-owner hunter competitors to step up to the plate with their mounts in hopes of taking home the Grand Amateur-Owner Hunter Championship. It was Ainsley Sadlo and her partner Kesh who took home the coveted honor after riding to success throughout Friday and Saturday’s competition.
Kesh, the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare, put her best foot forward to ultimately grant her and Sadlo the championship title. Kesh floated into the ring to impress the judges with her charismatic demeanor, taking each obstacle as a chance to show her style and grace. The pair collected a total of 44 points to clinch the tricolor. Within the competitive Amateur-Owner division, Kesh and Sadlo took three second place positions and a first place in the under saddle.
Sadlo and Kesh have been a pair for the last few years, and are a great example of a successful partnership finding their stride in the show ring. With their forward momentum hunting the jumps and Kesh’s beautiful facial expressions as she floats across the ground with a sweeping motion, they are certainly ones to watch.
The hunter competition will conclude during the Kentucky Spring Classic II Sunday morning in the StoneLea Ring at 8:00 AM where junior competitors will battle it out for the Grand Junior Hunter championship.
