Karl Cook and Banba Secure a Win FEI South Point Jumper Stake, presented by iJump Sports

Las Vegas, NV – November 17, 2016 – In the $15,000 FEI South Point Jumper Stake, presented by iJump Sports, thirteenth to go, Andrew Ramsay and Cora, held the lead for almost thirty rides. Many tried but none could catch his time of 27.37, until Karl Cook and Banba trotted in the ring.

In a power and speed format, Cook looked casual until the speed phase when he turned up the heat. In a full gallop to the final fence, he stopped the clock in 25.63, taking the lead.

Cook and Banba are no strangers to the 1.35m winners circle, posting several wins this season. The fifteen-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare is a solid partner. “We bought her for my sister several years ago,” Cook explained. “She’s a fun mare and we know each other pretty well. When we pick up the pace, she knows what to do. She’s a great horse to have on the truck at every show.”
