SM & Barcelona

For the first time in history Mexico will send a Team to two five stars Nation’s Cup in the same month. For Spruce Meadows Chef D’Equippe Norman Dello Joio selected the Pasquel brothers, Francisco and Patricio, together with Olympians Gustavo Ramos and Antonio Maurer to the masters.   Team Mexico did not pass to the second round, after the withdrawal of Francisco Pasquel who had problems at the triple bar in the in and out, with three rails down for his brother Patricio and just one rail down for each Ramos and Maurer.

For Barcelona a complete team will represent Mexico.  As winners of the North American League this year, Mexico will present a Team to the final as well as the USA.   Here the riders will be chosen between Antonio Chedraui, Federico Fernández, Alberto Michan, Nicolás Pizarro and Santiago Lambre in case he finds a suitable horse as he just sold the one he had been competing successfully through Europe.  The Team just participated at the CSIO Gijón in Spain preparing for the second Mexican participation in Barcelona, after last year which was the first time ever Mexico classified to the Final.
