It’s a Victory for Lindsay Ransom and Nivelo in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby during Week 1 of Temecula National Fall Series

Temecula, Calif. – Nov. 16, 2020 – Hunter action during week one of the Nilforushan Equisport Events’ Temecula Valley National Fall Series concluded on Sunday, November 15 following 25 of the best hunter riders on the West Coast battling it out for bragging rights in the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Emerging victorious out of the field was Lindsay Ransom riding Debra Chambers’ entry Nivelo. Rounding out the top three were Madison Bradshaw and Cloud 9, owned by Kristine Floyd in second place, while owner-rider Grace Belmont secured third aboard Quirin.

Also on Sunday, Kate Parker and her own Simply Irresistible closed out the week on a win in the $500 Child/Adult Hunter Derby. Second place was awarded to Olivia Cohen riding her entry Lancaster, with Samantha Siler and Elitere, owned by Jenifer Duron, finishing out the podium in third.

Earlier in the weekend in the 3’3”/3’6” Junior Hunter Classic we saw Kate Hagerty and Crafted, owned by Capstone Equestrian, LLC, top the scorecard to bring home the blue. Brooke Morin aboard Troy Christiansen’s For Fun accumulated a score high enough to earn second place honors, while Sarah Cline and her own entry Instantly garnered third.

Hunter competition concluded Sunday, November 15, for the first week of the Temecula Valley National Fall Series, and will return to Galway Downs on Wednesday, November 18, for the first day of the second and final week of competition, which will finish Sunday, November 22.
