World’s Best Show Jumping Athletes Gear up for 2019 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Gothenburg

Gothenburg, Sweden – April 3, 2019 – The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final returns to its home of Gothenburg, Sweden, after the inaugural event first took place 40 years ago in 1979. On the opening day of the 2019 Gothenburg Horse Show, athletes had the opportunity to get their horses accustomed to the small, indoor stadium of the Scandinavium arena during a warm-up class in preparation for the four days of rigorous competition ahead.

A field of 38 horses and athletes each had 90 seconds in the ring to school or jump a short course.

 

U.S. athletes who have chosen to attend this year’s championship in Gothenburg and successfully passed Tuesday’s jog include: Kelli Cruciotti with Hadja Van Orshof, Eve Jobs with Limbridge or Venue D’Fees Des Hazalles, Georgina Bloomberg with Chameur 137, Devin Ryan with Cooper and 2018 reigning champions Beezie Madden with Breitling LS. Both Cruciotti and Jobs are competing in this year’s Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final for the first time.

The first round of the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Gothenburg (12 p.m. EST). Click here for the order-of-go.
